If you have used conventional deodorants for a more extended period and now you are planning to switch to those natural, you need to know that the skin of your armpits are still saturated with toxins and that’s why various irritations are possible in the future.
Namely, in the case of many people who, after prolonged use of synthetic deodorants, begin to use those natural ones, rash, skin irritation, increased sweating, and unpleasant odors may occur at first. Therefore, to avoid possible irritation and discomfort, and to clean your armpits, allow them to detox.
Dangers of synthetic deodorant
Conventional deodorants and antiperspirants have a lot of additives and harmful substances that are associated with a number of diseases:
- Aluminum: It is linked to Alzheimer’s disease and cancer
- Propylene glycol: increases the risk of allergies and immunotoxicity
- Parabens: These hormonal disruptors have been found in breast cancer tissue
- phthalates: these endocrine disruptors lead to hormone imbalance, even to infertility
- formaldehyde: known carcinogen
Also, the armpits, have lymph nodes, which grow when various diseases occur and are an important part of your defense mechanism.
Whether you apply directly to these lymph nodes synthetic deodorant, or hormonal disruptor, you attack your organism and its immune system.
Unfortunately, harmful substances are easily absorbed through the skin, which can then reach your bloodstream.
The benefits of armpits detoxification:
- the elimination of toxins from the armpit skin
- the absence of an unpleasant skin rash when using natural deodorants
- reduce sweating
- less unpleasant smells, even without the use of deodorant
What is needed for detox
For detox armpits, you need only two ingredients: bentonite clay and apple vinegar. Bentonite is a healing clay of volcanic origin that has been used in the treatment and purification of the organism for a long time.
Today it is often used in homes for the elimination of heavy metals from the body. Apple vinegar (100% natural) helps to clean the armpit from the poison, and some put it under the armpits itself as an effective anti-smell remedy.
- One tablespoon of bentonite clay
- One teaspoon of apple vinegar ( organic )
- 1-2 teaspoons of water
Put all the ingredients in a glass bowl (not metal) and mix them well with a wooden spoon.
In a thin layer evenly spread the mixture on the armpits and let it dry for 5 to 20 minutes.
If you are doing a detox for the first time, leave it to work for 5 minutes and with each new detox, depending on how your body reacts, time increases. In the end, wash your armpits or wipe them with a warm, moist cloth.
Repeat this process every day until you notice that your skin no longer reacts to natural deodorant and that it has reduced unpleasant odors.
Note: Do you feel pain or other very unpleasant sensations, rinse off, and do not apply the detox mixture anymore. You will notice a slight redness, but there is no reason to worry – it will pass quickly. This occurs due to improved circulation in the armpit area.
If you do not notice improvements after a few tries and your skin continues to react poorly to natural deodorants, try dry brushing. This is a skin massage that encourages the circulation of the lymph and detox of the organism. For this, you will need a special dry brush made of soft, natural fibers.
