How To Make The World’s Best Almond Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of raw almonds, soaked for 12 hours first
  • 3 cups filtered water, plus extra to soak almonds
  • 1 tsp sea salt, plus an extra pinch
  • Splash fresh lemon juice
  • For a sweeter almond milk, you can add:
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 to 3 tbsp raw honey or pure maple syrup, or 4 to 6 pitted dates

Preparation:

Place the almonds in a large glass or bowl and cover them with filtered water. Then, add the sea salt and splash of lemon juice and cover the container with a breathable towel. Allow the almonds to soak for 12 hours at room temperature.

Afterward, drain the almonds and rinse them a few times. Place the almonds in a blender and add three cups of filtered water, and pinch of sea salt. Blend until almonds are completely pulverized.
Use a cheesecloth, or nut milk bag to strain and pour the milk into the bag while gently squeezing in order to allow the liquid to pass through.

After you rinse out the blender, pour in the strained milk and you can add the vanilla with the syrup if you desire a sweeter milk. Blend again until smooth and creamy. Keep your almond milk in a sealed container inside the refrigerator. Use it not more than 2 to 3 days.
