Our hair needs a lot of care and attention. If you expect  it to be silky and shiny, you will have to make sure that it gets all of the nutrients it needs.

There are many products that will offer you this result, but when it comes to choosing the right one, it is important to make sure that you will get the result without getting excess chemicals in your body. That is why one of the best ways to naturally improve your hair quality is by using oils.

How to Use Oils As Hair Treatment?

First of all, you need to choose the oil or oil blend, that is suitable for your hair type. Before using the oil on your hair, it is important that it is at room temperature or warmer. Apply the oil by gently massaging the scalp and roots. After the application use a shower cap and leave the oil in, for at least 30 minutes. Rinse your hair as usual.

Which oil to choose?

If you have thick hair, the best option for you would be argan, coconut or olive oil, whereas people with thin hair should opt for pomegranate seed or rosemary oil. Jojoba oil is suitable for all hair types.

  • Argan oil

Even though it may be more expensive than other oils, it is worth it. It is rich in antioxidants, omega-3 and omega-9 fatty acids, and vitamin E, all of which are highly beneficial for damaged or dry hair.

  • Avocado oil

The proteins, healthy fats, and vitamins in avocado oil repair the damage caused to the hair cuticle and prevent future breakage and frizz.

  • Jojoba oil

This oil is a liquefied wax extracted from a southwestern native shrub and it has an abundance of vitamins A, E, and D.  It is recommendable for all hair types. It will repair any hair damage and encourage healthy hair growth.

  • Coconut oil

This oil is rich in vitamin E and other nutrients and when the hair absorbs them, it becomes thicker and healthier. Its antimicrobial properties will make your scalp healthier and prevent dandruff or scalp infections.

  • Olive Oil

You can use it to massage your scalp, this will improve the blood flow in the area and thus bring more nutrients to your hair. If you have curly hair olive oil will raise the quality of your curls by rehydrating your dry hair.

  • Pomegranate seed oil

If you have thin hair, this is the oil that you should start using. The punicic acid it contains will revitalize the hair and protect it from environmental and chemical damage. Since it has a thick texture and a higher price, you can freely mix it with olive oil and benefit from both oils simultaneously.

  • Rosemary Essential Oil

This oil will help you detox your hair. Your hair, as well as your skin, are continuously suffering from the environmental pollution because they are in direct contact with it. Using the rosemary oil will cleanse the toxins and protect you from premature graying.

It contains iron, calcium and vitamin B so brittle and thin hair will no longer be an issue. Since this is an essential oil, do not forget that you need to mix it with a carrier oil (olive or coconut oil can do the trick!).
