Hanging warts or papillomas, in most cases, appear in several places on the body. They most often appear on the neck, armpits, or the upper chest or back. But they can also appear on the face and eyelids.

These are the most common regions that are often irritated. Irritation is very important for the development of papillomas. The appearance of hanging warts is always based on the presence of the papillomavirus.

It is a virus that has many subtypes. Some cause warts on the hands and feet, some cause typical warts, possible changes in the cervix, and some cause papillomas on the skin.

This does not mean that if you have warts on your hands and touch your face, you will get papillomas on your face. Or vice versa, if you have papillomas you will get condyloma.

Although it is the same type of papillomavirus, different subtypes or types of this virus cause papillomas compared to other skin changes.

Papillomavirus infection is transmitted by direct contact only.

This means that if a person has papillomas on the skin, and you touch them with bare hands, if there is an injury, then touch yourself, there is a possibility of getting infected. Sometimes they appear after three months of contact, and sometimes after a year of contact. Also, there is a chance that they could never appear.

Whether papillomas occur or not depends solely on the person’s immune system. That is why some people have hundreds and thousands of papillomas. While other people, although they have this virus in them, do not have any skin changes.

Papillomas, also known as “hanging warts”, most commonly occur on the neck, armpits, upper torso, and eyelids. They can be conical in shape, 1 to 3 mm in size, from normal skin color to dark brown. Patients often confuse them with moles or keratoses.

Removal of papillomas prevents their further spread on the skin because they are of viral origin and are easily dispersed. Therefore, it is better to remove papillomas. That way you can prevent them from spreading.

Even if you only have one papilloma, it is better to remove it. On the other hand, if you have a lot of hanging warts on the skin, you need to remove them all because that is the only way to prevent the further spread of papillomas.

Some homemade, folk remedies can help you get naturally rid of warts.

Apple cider vinegar for the treatment of hanging warts

Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be one of the most effective home remedies. Put a little apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball or a clean cloth and soak it in the place where you have papillomas three times a day.

To perform the procedure as safely as possible, you can dilute the vinegar with a small amount of water before treating the papilloma. After a few days, you will notice that the papilloma changes color. Repeat this procedure for a few weeks until it falls off on its own.

You can also combine apple cider vinegar with lemon.

Following is the recipe for the apple cider vinegar- lemon remedy.

To prepare this natural remedy, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 100 ml of vinegar
  • zest of 2 lemons.

Procedure:

Finely chop the lemon peel, or grate it. Mix the ingredients and store the mixture in a closed glass container for one week. Treat warts with this liquid several times a day. After a few days, the papillomas will start to dry out and fall off.

Recipe with eggshells for removing warts

To prepare this medicine, you will need two fresh eggs, a cotton ball, and a bandage. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees in which you will bake the eggshells for about half an hour on baking paper.

Once the shells have cooled, finely chop/crush them, but it will be best if you can grind them into a powder. Store the eggshell powder in a dry, glass container with a lid.

Usage:

Put a larger amount of this powder on the papilloma, apply cotton on top and fix with a patch. Change the dressing this way every third day, for a period of 2-3 weeks until the papilloma falls off.

Potato juice for the treatment of warts

Potato juice will help fight this infection. It is better to use red potato juice.

Preparation:

Wash the potatoes well and grate them finely. Squeeze the juice through several layers of gauze. Consume 100 ml twice a day for half an hour before eating. The treatment lasts for 2 months.

The papillomas can sometimes make us self-conscious about our appearance, so it is best to try to treat them safely and pain-free.

Before trying any of these homemade recipes, consult your doctor to determine if you have a papillomavirus infection.
