This golden root, it’s not actually golden. My grandma says it’s golden because she strongly believes in the healing power of this root.

Actually, this golden root is horseradish root.

I know you are probably thinking “well it is just horseradish”! And yes it is. But blended with the right ingredients it can become golden. Grandma’s words.

Before I introduce you to the recipe for this remedy, just little scientific facts about diabetes. What it is and how does affects the body.

Maybe you already have this condition, or maybe you have just been diagnosed with it. It is always a good idea to know how your body reacts to this condition, generally speaking.

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic systemic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, i.e. permanent increase in blood glucose levels.

It is generally conditioned by hereditary factors and occurs as a consequence of reduced secretion or reduced biological action of the hormone insulin, or a combination of these two factors.

This deficiency impedes the exchange of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins in the body (which is manifested by characteristic symptoms). And after a long time affects the structure and function of blood vessels, nerves, and other vital organs and organ systems.

Diabetes is nowadays one of the most common endocrine diseases, with a tendency to increase (especially in the developed countries of the world). It is a consequence of the modern lifestyle and the increasing number of external etiological causes, among which gaining weight stands out.

The symptoms and signs depend on the blood sugar level, but people with type 2 diabetes, despite having high blood glucose, may not have any symptoms at first. In patients with type 1 diabetes, the symptoms usually manifest more quickly and in a more severe form.

Some of the signs and symptoms are:

  • Increased thirst,
  • Frequent urination,
  • Increased appetite,
  • Unexplained weight loss,
  • Fatigue,
  • Blurred vision,
  • Slow wound healing,
  • Slightly elevated blood pressure.

Also, a symptom manifestation can be considered:

  • Frequent infections, like infections of the gums, skin, vagina, bladder,
  • The presence of ketones in the urine (ketones are byproducts due to the breakdown of muscle and fat tissue due to lack of insulin).

It may look scary when you read it like this. But don’t worry. Nature, as always, has its own medicine for each disease.

Horseradish root in combination with the following ingredients is recommended for the treatment of diabetes and lowering of blood sugar.

As a treatment, this homemade remedy should be used for one month. It can help prevent diabetes with high blood sugar levels if you want to use it as a prevention. But it can also regulate sugar levels in already diagnosed patients.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 horseradish root,
  • 1 clove garlic,
  • 660 ml beer,
  • 150 ml malic acid.

Procedure:

Horseradish root should not be peeled. Wash it well and leave it soaking in a bowl with water and baking soda, for at least 10 minutes. Then rinse it again under a strong stream of cold water.

To make sure it is well washed, leave the horseradish in water to which you have added malic acid. It should stand in this water for about 15-20 minutes.

After you cleaned it well you can use the horseradish. You can chop it finely, or you can use it ground or grated.

Chop the garlic as well. Mix the horseradish and garlic, then put them in a glass jar with a lid and pour the beer over them. Close the jar and leave it in a dark and cool place for 10 days.

Use:

After 10 days the mixture can be used. Consume one teaspoon three times a day for the first two days. Then you can use one tablespoon, three times a day. The whole treatment lasts one month.

Yes, you read it well, this recipe is with beer. Beer has its own power like an enhancing ingredient when used as an ingredient for a homemade remedy.

It was the first thing I asked, “Grandma, beer are you sure?”, she just laughed and said, “Don’t worry child in this recipe beer is just another healing ingredient”.

Weird or not, this is a homemade recipe worth trying. As prevention or as a remedy.

However, you should consult your family doctor before using this recipe.
