Nowadays, every doctor wants to cure you with pharmaceutical drugs, and sometimes using them frequently can lead to being immune to them.
But, are there some other ways to cure the patients of diseases or this is the only way? Not only, pharmaceutical drugs are not always the best solution for treatment, but, they can also cause some unwanted side-effects. Some doctors think that the only way is the modern medicine but Dr. Garth Davis and his treatments are quite challenging and outstanding.
The progressive Dr. Garth Davis cures his patients with fruits and vegetables
Dr. Davis is a medical director of the bariatric surgery at Hermann Memorial City Medical Center. He discovered that diet and lifestyle are the main keys to life that can lead to a good health and a vital body. Dr. Davis no longer prescribes pharmaceutical drugs, now he gives recommendations for eating more fruits and vegetables and changing the everyday eating habits. Up till now, patients have responded very well to the changes.
Dr. Davis said: “As physicians, we perform surgery or prescribe medications to our patients to make them well, why not also educate them on healthy eating, and make fresh fruits and vegetables readily available?”
Eating raw foods should be a part of everyone’s daily routine
In order to achieve this, Kristina Gabrielle Carrillo Bucaram as the founder and chief co-operator of Rawfully Organic, that is the largest nonprofit organic food co-op, is cooperating with Dr. Davis.
Together, Dr. Davis, Kristina, the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center Hospital and the Memorial Hermann Foundation have opened the “Farmacy Stand.”
The stand is open from 10 AM – 2 PM, every Wednesday in the lobby of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Patients go to the “Farmacy” after they have a prescription from Dr. Daivs, so they receive $10 off a regularly priced $25 box of organic produce through the Rawfully organic co-op.
Patients who believe in and follow the practices of the doctor, get a box full of fruit such as apples, oranges, and, banana, then it has vegetables including Romaine lettuce, celery, carrots, and tomatoes.
Dr. Davis says: “I think a few other doctors have written prescriptions, I would like to get more doctors writing the prescriptions. Hippocrates said, ‘Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.’ Produce is medicine. The vegetables and fruits are an alternative for use in treating diseases.”
This Farmacy has changed the lives of hundreds of people, so, if you live in Houston, Texas you should visit this doctor and give him a chance to show you something different and healthier.
